Welcome to School 94501/94502, a place to learn about school in general and about Alameda schools in particular.
I grew up in the East Bay, went “back east” for college, and then returned to the Bay Area for law school. After four interesting but largely unsatisfying years practicing law, I decided to change careers and become a teacher. I taught “American Government” and “Economics” at Alameda High School from 1998-2009, worked as AUSD’s Director of Educational Options for the 2009-2010 school year and, will be teaching “American Government” and “Economics” at Encinal High School and working part-time as a Teacher on Special Assignment for the 2010-2011 school year. I am a “plaintiff as guardian” (on behalf of my children) in the Robles-Wong school funding litigation. I live in Alameda with my wife and two children.
